DeLaval is expanding its farm with new state-of-the-art buildings

Hamra Farm, the farm of DeLaval, is located on a beautiful hill near the center of DeLaval, south of Stockholm, Sweden. "The farm is part of DeLaval. We continue to try to find new and improved ways to help our farmers to manage sustainable dairy farms with new and better solutions, and our farm is an important part of that work.
We are also farmers and Hamra Farm is one of the most productive dairy farms in Sweden with an average income of 12,100 kg of milk per year per cow, ”says Lars Johansson, Corporate Communications and Sustainable Development.

The plan is to double the number of dairy cows, from 260 to 550. new DeLaval solutions, ”says Johansson. "In addition, Hamra Farm has for many years been a demonstration farm for customers and other key people in the dairy value chain, with around 3,000 visitors each year."

The development plan includes a new robotic milking barn with DeLaval VMS-V300 robots, modernized barns for calves and heifers and updated visitor areas, all located on the existing farm.

The start starts in the spring of 2021, and the new automated buildings should be ready in the second half of 2022.
